Dunno-shop is full of disassembled ElCamino right now, and they still have to do some light polish work on it. and, WORST OF ALL my good friend who hauls this tub around for me in his enclosed trailer is in the hospital with a heart attack! When I called him to telll him the good news, got his wife with the bad news.....He is gonna be ok, but I will have to find another way home for this thing is a few weeks.
On the plus side, I scored a set of "THE KIND" FPA ceramic coated headers from a very generous Ford owner in central ca. for an unheard of low price, (like 500 off!) barely used and in perfect condition. These were gona be the single biggest extragavance on this project, and now they came in way under budget. gotta go pick em up saturday!

That is too bad about your friend. It's interesting that heart attacks just aren't the big bad news they were even 10 years ago. I had a friend go through that, and it made him sore (as broken ribs, and ripping an artery out of your leg would make you)... but he's fine now.

Although, I just can't leave it untouched..... did your friend have the heart attack because you got your car out of the bodyshop so fast?

hmmmm-well he didnt know it was done yet, so it couldn't have been that and I didnt tell him about the headers until I went to the hospital to visit him, so cannot be that either-HOWEVER-2 WIVES---6 DAUGHTERS--2 GRANDAUGHTERS and only one grandson who really doesnt care about cars is the most likely culprit!!!
