The disc brakes will be nice. My '69 3/4 ton has drums (no power assist). Good leg workout, but not much for stopping power. Keep posting some in process pictures to inspire the rest of us.

I sold a decent 71 stepside a couple yrs ago,they're a nice size and style, also lots of parts for them.
It looks like you have a good start on rebuilding.

Looks like this place has gone through some changes, haven't been here in almost 2 years :D

My project truck is currently for sale. Two kids now, ready for an old wagon I can cruise in with the entire family.
