    Re: 68 Plymouth Valiant

I was looking and I think a drop base air cleaner will work, hopefully I'll get time to work on the car this weekend and find out for sure. I want to finish putting the headers on and a few other little things before trying the hood.

This is the earliest picture I could find (1997). It was in a head on collision, of some sort, and I bought it for about $600. Shame I don't have any pictures of the carnage.

Thanks! I like your Duster too! The 67-68 hoods are different because of the earlier split grill, but I have updated to a 70-72 Duster front clip so aarqualityfiberglass hoods would work. Hopefully I'll have room for the new air cleaner and will be able to use my old hood. I'll find out soon enough.

Today, I'm cleaning up the engine bay a little more. Wiring in a relay for the fan instead of running directly off the switch.

I brought a 489 case and a sure-grip back to the city last time I was at the farm. I'm wondering what I should use for gears 3.91 or 4.10s hhhmmm

Going to throw the truck in this thread also:

The plan is about 3" lift,rims/tires, exhaust, cold air intake.... the typical stuff. We'll see how much actually gets done.

I have changed the exterior door handles and thrown in a set of Kenwood speakers in the front doors since this picture.

As far as air cleaners go, I think it would look good with a dual snorkle like this one...

And I'm pretty sure that it shouldn't have any problem clearing the hood. The only problem is these things are real expensive.

I bought a set of 3.91 Richmond gears. I'll have to get them in next set of days off. I also ordered a Bully Dog programer for the truck. Kinda of interested to see what kind of difference that will make.

Went to put my gear set together and noticed two of the teeth on the ring were chipped.
