  • Dig'n the cool progress man.

For the boat tail: Thought of using a combo of late-30's hoods or fenders for it? At B'ville, I met a guy who built a boat tail roadster and he'd used a pair of hoods mounted on end for the curves etc, and then just filled in the voids with sheet metal. No idea how much bondo he used, but his build quality was pretty good on the rest.
Yes, I'm a CarJunkie... How many times would YOU rebuild the same engine before getting a crate motor?

    • Mustang13, its going very slowly.
Recently found a good saginaw steering gear out of a 49 chevy truck.
Which is coincidentaly the same used in the 58' which is what the front
and rear axles came out of.
Patience, I'm learning, is a virtue...

Caveman, Ive spoke to a guy on the H.A.M.B. that has done that, he in southern KY
ive thought about it, but finding those hoods round here is rare, and i hate to spend 400 on a hood to cut up.
Especialy when someone may be looking for it for their car.

      • How about PT cruiser? Should be cheap, plentiful, and available new in oem or cheap Chinese knockoff.
