Thought I’d post some on the distraction that is slowing me getting the 428CJ in the 65 Ford:
I’ve said it to a few of my friends, but I felt like I was 16 again last night picking the short block up: Van Halen was playing in the background, big block swinging off the hoist, girlfriend (now wife) asking if I needed a cold beer, lol.

Motor is a short deck 400 Mopar stretched to 470 cubes via an eagle crank and rods, icon pistons. It’s the stout later version of the 400 with increased material in the main webs.
Plans are for a street cam [email protected], Stealth aluminum heads out of the box. Oiling system will consist of a Max Wedge pan (7qts), HV pump, topped with a 6 pack.
