    More door work

    it doesn't fit

    even with adjusting

    other door fits great

now driver's door fits good... just took a bit of bending

and since I was already bending... I put these doors together for the final time

I'm starting to get a sneaking suspicion that you actually plan on keeping this one (would you have time in your life to build another anyway?)...Door sets are looking great.

Eventually I'll replace my wife Jeep with a FJ80 or similar so I will have another build. But yes, this one sticks around for awhile.

              Continuing on

              folded over

              welding

you can never have enough hammers..

this is ominous. I think this will get a workout, so I cleaned the filter, sharpened the chain... love my Stihl

a rack to work on the tops

with a bit more fab, these are next to be installed

The honeydo list was pretty extensive today but I did get a bit more done on this

to remind, the bottom edge needed to come into the door

                like this

after scribing the edge, I cut it so that it fit the door

                like this

                killed em

                ready for welding

                cleaned and welded

A weather forecaster said, "we predicted the biggest storm in 10 years, we didn't get the biggest storm in the last week."

Nothing but some steady high winds here. Tore up the car cover on the Falcon, but nothing else. Much gentler than the weather guessers said it would be.

so this is as far as I go taking these apart - I'll paint the inner frame black and the part under the rubber along with the lower portion body color.... but it's so much easier not having to tape the wind wings and it also allows me to do a better job on their frame

most hated work... filler and sanding - as evidenced here. I didn't put enough filler there (or enough to cover the area)

and bounced back and forth between this and the body work....

                            top comes on Friday... woohoo!

                              More body work

and the next thing that needs to be done first.... deck railing....

something I didn't know, there is a difference between 71 and 72 window frames... there's a step in the 72

mostly for ease, I'm painting the inner frame black

While using a 71-72 design, I would tend to classify those as a custom 2016 manufacture...
