I dont mind body work at all. Tinting window's on the other hand is a different story. But i get what your saying. Sanding is very tedious work.

Fortunately there's breathtakingly little on this one... a bit under a door, and skim on the top of the door.

There is also a possibility that I'm going to do the Buick in bare metal..... why not? (don't answer that)

After sundown, I stopped to pick up my top from FedEx....

I've been hesitant to paint the bows and frame because I didn't know the color of the top. I'm leaning towards black or hammertone black..

        and yes, it's so cool!

there was much whining from the peanut gallery about chips... so I fixed them too

                    It just flat-out amazes me.

I am formulating the theory that SBG has long ears, wears a pink suit while carrying a drum and is funded by doing advertising for a major battery manufacturer.

Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

More power to you on the bare metal. It looks amazing when done correctly but man its a lot of work. (Im sure you are aware of that)
With your skill set you will definitely be able to pull it off and I for one would love to see it.

                        doors installed
figured it'd be easier to put the hinges on first (and reduce the risk of chipping paint on the door driving pins in)

                        and clean paint off

and block up the door (turns out this was the hard way)

                        door on

I used this as a seal.... seems to work fine

                        other door in place

I'm glad I put all this together - it turns out the piece I was going to make for the windshield would have been substantially short

looks kind of cool to me

                          Looks great SBG.

Somehow SBG must have sold his sole so he has days that are 32 hours long!

funny, my perspective is it takes forever to get anything done.

                              Looks good.

I saw a FJ driving on Market Street (our main drag) yesterday. It had a full hard top and your doors but the truck looked like a "before" pic of yours though it was factory yellow.
