Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

stainless bolt welded to the battery tray....

stainless box which has nothing to do with this build

according to the instructions, these wires are color coded... yeah... good thing I have a label machine

so I cut off the newer connection and used a delphi connection on both sides.... now the injectors should work. I shudder to think of just how many things have to work for this to fire....

that said I am getting better at these connectors so perhaps all will be well.... it's possible, but if it is perfect, I won't be playing the lottery every again because I'll have used up all my luck

        So tracking/push button starting.... http://www.innovativeignitionsystems...m-31-rfid/cw16
        GMS-31-RFID
Proximity sensing keyless entry+keyless push button start system+Smart Start+GPS+Bluetooth PKE

The GSM-31-RFID system is a must have for any auto enthusiast. Makes locking, unlocking and even starting your car hassle free. Never fumble for your key fob or car keys again, simply walk up to your vehicle and let the system take over. It will unlock the doors for you automatically, all you have to do from there is get in push the start button and drive away. Once you reach your destination, simply press the start button again to shut the vehicle off, exit the vehicle, leave proximity of your vehicle and the system will lock your doors for you. With the additional convenience of Bluetooth PKE, you no longer even need to carry a remote. Your smart phone is now your smart key, simply walk into proximity of the vehicle with your smart phone on you and the system will communicate with your smart phone through Bluetooth. Once in proximity the system will unlock all the doors for you and when you leave proximity the system will lock all the doors for you, same as using a smart key. This system also has GSM & GPS Technology so you can, lock, unlock & even remote start your vehicle all from the convenience of your smart phone + track your vehicle from virtually anywhere. What are you waiting for? Grab your GSM-31-RFID system now and lose your keys for good!

this is really interesting to me, I have a friend who just recovered his FJ40 because it had tracking in it.... so this gets me my 3 levels of protection:
        1) Snohomish County Sheriff SAR sticker... you screw with this car, the owner is friends with the Sheriff... if that doesn't bother you
        2) find the key, methhead... and
        3) if you do manage to move it, I'll track you and you'll wish the Sheriff found you....

        and finally, there's a bonus.

My wife has trouble keeping her keys attached to herself. I can literally start the vehicle wherever a cell-tower can reach (beside the hidden start and the key fob start) I can start the vehicle.

and it has an annoying alarm.

$450 seems pretty cheap, especially since there is no monitoring charges

        thoughts, again...?

it comes with key fobs and a backup way of starting it without either. Of course, if she loses the fob can't use the code, and is out of cell phone range... she's in trouble.

decision made on the push button start.... this one - I'll use my SPOT system to trace...

Stand Alone RFID Keyless Push Button Start Systems

                    RFID-688-PBS

Stand alone RFID keyless push button start system

The RFID-688-PBS is a stand alone keyless push button start system. This system comes with two RFID key tags that will have to be swiped over the receiving antenna before the vehicle can be started using the push button start. Once you have swiped the RFID key tag over the receiving antenna of the system, the push button start will be active for 30 seconds. Once you reach you destination simply shut the vehicle off using the push start button, 30 seconds after the vehicle is shut down the system will deactivate the start button not allowing the vehicle to be started until the owner returns and swipes the RFID key tag over receiving antenna. This system can be installed in conjunction with a factory or aftermarket security system. The PBS-688-RFID does have an immobilizer bypass output wire and comes with an immoblizer bypass. There are two different button designs to choose from as wel so make sure you click the specialized button link below and choose the start button you want shipped with your system, if no button selection is chosen it will be shipped with the long button as shown. What are you waiting for? Grab your PBS-688-RFID now and lose your keys for good!

                        getting closer to body-mount
                        header mod, take 2

                        some cutting and fitting

                        and there it is

body back on, I could attach it, but it's so much easier to paint it on my body-dolly that I'm going to wait for it to show up back on my doorstep and finish some more of the minor stuff... like the tire carrier and rear tail gate....

so the goal was 4" up travel in the front and back.... 7 1/2 up front at the moment and 2" back.... fortunately, I can' solve the back pretty easily and the front won't be so tough either... just get some 175 or 150 lb upper springs.

Trying to understand how that works. Does that mean. It is sitting higher than you want now? What spring does it have a now 200+?

too high in front, too low in back.

the current springs in the front at 200# - I need to change the upper one to 150#... but I'm only going to change the back at the moment to get it close to level.... spring and shock rates are the very last thing to tune.

I changed the rear springs so it sits level...

still arguing with the shock folks about what I need for springs...

                              the shorter flare

                              prior mentioned radiator reservoir.
