    finishing up the doors

    and installed

finish the brake cable and it's 'done' - from thereon should simply be maintenance

    time for some paint
    first hinges

given they got rained on about 30 seconds after they flashed...

so you'll see this guy around a lot..... Paul is moving here, Don offered to help with bodywork*.... who would say no to that? this guy has forgotten more about bodywork then I'll likely ever know.

not bad given how long that paint has sat

*he's retired and told me that he's bored... it's also his birthday.... Happy Birthday Don....

    somehow I bent a rim... it's replacement

underside is buttoned up - I need to revisit this once I get the brake lever in place... hint, not what I showed before
but the cable is through the floor

meanwhile, Luigi is making friends with the new shop kitties. They are not impressed by they are warming to him... it's kind of fun to watch

I believe it would be interesting to most of us.
SAR is, for the most part, good for cocktail parties but terrible to blog because we can't talk about missions (outside of what you read via press release) nor can we post pictures of those missions. I post most of what I am allowed - but, outside of training or builds, I don't bring a camera nor is posting pictures of rescues allowed (patient rights and that stuff)....

for example, how far does that go.... when the Shuttle Columbia came down over Texas.... I was part of the recovery - and that's the most I can or will say about it. Point is that I didn't even blog that when it happened in 2003 (and yes, pre-BS).... still don't.

SAR in general, though, is the most fun you can have with your clothes on - it really is.

I like the Davis stuff.... Jacobs is good, Davis is better.
'40 runs great, no overheating - fact is it runs better then before maybe even better than ever. Time to stash it where I do SAR stuff...
