As long as you can let it out nicely while off kilter, it will be cool!

Well done on getting the motor running, I bet you're a little excited at being near the finish line.

Congrats! I hate the "burning off" part of the build but that's pretty much offset but the high of the first fire-up.

this one started really easily. after I found out that the center, air cleaner rod also does duty of holding the injectors in place... I was 22.5* off with the distributor but my goodness does it run well... a bit loud, but that's just it being happy to be alive

Young Frankenstein, one of my favorite movies

I've now driven it and..... oh boy, shocker, it drives quite nicely (don't tell Pirate, to them it's the stupidest build ever, dumbest build ever, will never get done build - we wouldn't want to blow their little minds).... I've not yet aligned it other then ball-park-tape-measure. But up to 40 mph it drives straight, doesn't bounce steer at all - which, to me, is pretty remarkable on bias-ply tires.

we now know it's equal to my wifes JoKe

no sway bar, yet, but again it drives pretty nicely

as you can see, some more assembly is required - but now it's no longer a static ornament and my worry about whether or not I got the geometry right is gone

and just to remind.... August 13, 2014, this is what it looked like

Success! That is especially impressive for bias plies that have been sitting around for awhile.

What are the wire cage gizmos along your driveway? Bicycle racks? Weird tomato cages? Steep hill warning indicators?
Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

SBG, you'll need to work on your driving skills. You managed to run over a big rock that was completely off of a perfectly good driveway!

Guess I don't get the off-road stuff......... But the build looks great and I'm glad it's up and running.

Its an off-road thing Dan for certain.....we see something normal people stay away from, and we park on it.

Exhibit B (Aaron already shared Exhibit A)

Yeah, weird huh? I do, however, have several bicycle hooks.....and kickstands.....which suck offroad by the way. Trees are handy weeds at those times.

We'll just have to be satisfied with that driveway pebble until you find a real rock or downed Sequoia. Just no RTI ramp number please.

                                bike hooks are for beginners.

no RTI numbers, I need to be careful because I haven't done the alignment yet and one of those things that no one ever mentions about link suspensions and adjusting them.... once you start flexing it the vehicle tightens the jam nut to the point where you need a 10' breaker bar to get them loose.

when I was wheeling last summer with Nitro Gear, I should have taken pictures of all the times they would stop and take pictures of their rig on a rock or something. Why it was funny - they were leading 20 or so vehicles on a single-track trail so all progress would stop every time they felt the need to photo a flex (oh and watching their shop monkey land on has tail every third time was kind of funny too)

And Dan - we test our 4x4s so we aren't embarrassed by getting stuck on a curb at the mall.
