  • 1966 F-100 EcoBoost & 1966 F-100 427 Side Oiler

    I currently have 2 projects I am in middle of. I thought I already posted them here in Project Cars but could not find them.

    These projects have both been on the backburner for a couple years now. I recently started back on the 427 Project hoping to get it running by October 1st.

    All new 482" Side Oiler that has never been fired.

    This is as purchased 427 project truck. Going on 15yrs ago now.

    This is the 1966 EcoBoost Project

    It was a 300.00 Truck at purchase.

              Seeing as though the wheelbase was way off the damaged in rear frame did not matter.
              All electronics from Eco Truck will be going into the '66.

              Floor and quiet steel firewall from Eco will also go into the '66

                at dealer picking up the new 126" chassis to have something to mount the '66 sheet metal to.

                      trial fit of '66 cab to eco chassis. What a surprise when it aligned perfectly! Bolts dropped right in.

                        after drilling out a gazillion spot welds the '66 firewall and dash was removed. (of course just in case I could not get this all to work and could then just put it back in)

                        Much to my amazement the firewall's were exact same width and pretty much perfect height!

                          also unreal was the dashes were very close to same width

                            the '66 cab was too narrow to fit the eco chassis. A bit of metal cutting using the laser to get things straight.

                              dropping cab down over chassis as far as possible still allowing clearance for engine etc
