Bought a new rear housing as original was bent. This is the 9 3/4" version. Very beefy with HUGE axles.
    Painted it also . .

Bought a new limited slip unit

Of course the fuel tank was a different shape. Retaining all emissions pieces too at least to start with. Should make it legal in all 50 states . .

Had to make one fuel line as at the time there was no 126" WB Eco truck built.

                  Escaped on a technicality.

It's amazing how close the old one and the new ones are! Very cool projects (plural). I could be wrong but you seem to be OK with Ford trucks.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue

chassis next to each other ready for swap to start. This could not have been a easier job. Engine, trans, all suspension, brake and fuel lines all swapped over in just a few hours.

wish all jobs showed so much progress in such little time. Before we knew it we had a roller!

                              I will use a 2013 F150 floor in my 1966 Box.

                              Tires are 255-55Rx18
A better looking little less profile tire which would be pretty much exact as having a taller tire and a 3.31 gear. Just too much sidewall on stock tire.

Should be close to 80mph @ 2000 rpm

Time to skip to the "OTHER" project the '66 F100 short bed custom cab . .

Truck was all original paint so knew there would be no surprises but still did a bit of paint stripping before I tore it apart. THen it was time for a complete teardown.

                                Arizona truck all its life.

I have not driven it since February of 2000
