well....i was all for picking up a craigslist special tunnelram
and porking that b@st@rd right through the hood..

but momma wants it all "underhood", nothing protruding
to break up the lines of the body. (also, this keeps em
guessing as to what shes running.). and it IS her car, so....

I buy my wife a Jeep - then I don't have to work on it... who am I kidding, if I let Jeep work on it, they try to light it on fire - and that's what I want to do.

well, i did it--i bought and old weiand WCV-283 dual quad intake for the
10-1 piston 350 with the 280/.510/110 cam in paz' silver vette.

couldnt turn down the $100 price tag, it had 1 correct adapter (intake has
the super old carter pattern) and brother bobby once again came to the
rescue with a second one from his secret stash of vintage parts.

all he wanted for it was a steak plate lunch. SOLD !!!

tho this is a 'stock file' photo, its the same dealio. gonna
try and put er on when i get home. and YEESSSSSSSSSSSS !!!
        an HEI fits.........

yeah, you won't be using a large body HEI.... fortunately, there are HEIs that are the same size as the points distributor

seems to fit the big body/coil on cap HEI just fine, i can
fit my finger between the distributor and the manifold runner....
              see second pic above...

lashed the valves on the silver vette today, with the 1.6 rollers
the cam specs out to-- 224/230 duration @ .050, with the lift at
.507/.510, on a 110 LSA. (the duration is 268/280 advertised)..
the "normal" lift at valve was .477/.480 with 1.5 ratio rockers.

                should be nice !!!

now on to the starter, shifter, transcooler,
d-shaft, converter bolts, distributor, etc etc etc....

crazy. and one of the reasons i hate living on a rock 3000
miles out in the middle of nowhere.... yesterday i was trying to
find fittings for the holley mechanical 110gph fuel pump, went
to napa, oreilly, carquest, aloha otto, & autozone and got NOTHING.

                  nobody had anything.

guess its time to start looking at plumbing supply places....
                  ridiculous.
