Finished making the pulley spacer today. I used a 2-1/8' hole saw in the drill press and slowly cut a hole. It took a while because I didn't want to clog up the saw. Then I sawed it off and dressed it up on the belt sander. I finish sanded the hole to fit snugly on the balancer snout.

I printed out a new template, carefully trimmed the center hole and aligned it on the pulley. Then I center punched the 3 additional holes (1 existing hole is used), went to the drill press and drilled the. Fits like a glove. This positions the back side of the pulley about 1" off the face of the motor plate which I am very happy with. I think I will eventually drill out the pulley center hole large enough to get to the crank bolt.

Isn't it funny how you can be smack in the middle of a project and find yourself already planning for the next phase?
Example: I am trying to leave enough room to mount a D-1SC Procharger in the location that it would normally fit on a 4.6L.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

Started mocking up accessory mounts and belt routing. The ac compressor is the loop on the bottom left and the PS pump is the loop on the bottom right. I'm not super happy wirh the long belt spans to the alternator. (That is where the alt is located on a 4.6l) I might break up those spans with some idlers to get a better wrap on the alternator. I would love to mount the alternator in a different place, but there is not a lot of options seeing that the coil packs flank the alt on both sides. I even considered mounting it backwards over the waterpump, but I don't think that will work.
