350, ported vortec heads, lt1 hot cam, edelbrock intake and carb....

Just kidding, although that would make for a decent sbc budget build...

        The plan is:

GT40P heads - Mild home port job, then off to get milled.

GT40 intake - tmoss moss ported lower. Tom and I like to do some trading, so the port work will only cost me around 40-50 bucks out of pocket.

65MM Throttle - From an explorer, modded to work with the fox.

Cam - either going to keep the stock cam, or order a custom cam -unsure at this point.

Mac long tube headers (just waiting to find a good deal)

        O/R h-pipe

        Probably flowmasters.

        sn95 rear with disc brakes

        Explorer 3:73 gears.

Sn95 (94-95) front spindles, rotors, etc.

        New edge PBR front calipers

        Aerostar alum driveshaft

Putting it together Junk Yard Style

My buddy called and said he was parting out his capri...

Parts I'm trying to acquire from him:

              Alum. drive shaft

              8.8" with 3:55 gears

I'm trying to get both for $100 bucks.

3.55 are a good all around gear set - I think you'll be happy with one of the alphabet cams using the P heads.
If you don't want to go with any PCM tuning - I think the B is a safe bet.

I ran a best of 13.15 with stock cam and short block with twisted wedge top end, headers, 24lb injectors and larger than stock maf and throttle body - 5 speed, drag radials - I'm sure you can do better than that with the list of parts you're putting together.

It was impossible to launch that car with the drag radials - never did try it with slicks.
There's always something new to learn.

The 3:55's aren't the gears I want, but for the price I would be willing to give them a shot... I'm just not comfortable setting the gears up myself...

Holy crap, what a difference a sponge bath and some cheap turtle wax can make. I didn't get the car finished before my cousin had to leave for work, so I ended up just snapping some quick pictures with my camera just to give you an idea of how it looks. The car has a ton of metal flake and really shines, but my crappy camera picks none of that up... lol

Anyways, I will shut up and get on with the pictures...

And a shot to attempt to capture the metal flake.

I wasn't real meticulous with the interior. Just a quick vacuum (hit a few spots with tuff stuff), and then gave it a quick wipe down.
