exhaust
I thought I was done.
No.
I am not.
I'll just quote myself:
found a cracked header.
the stainless part is forever, mandrel.. I should have guessed as passenger side cracked last year on new engine run, same spot...the cheap pipe straight away.
Going to go for one of these honda/audi miracles.
meanwhile the vent at top of carb is flush mount stainless 304 npt 1/8th plugged.Tapped that this morning. Looks like a pro did it. The gap between underhood tire and carb..knowing the whole setup is now with the engine only.. I like it.
Will wrap the header in the meantime, keep flex, and simply seal it a bit more.
I built that in 2011.
this thing really is a monster.
I thunk twice about leaving the first straightaway of header as cheap pipe.. thought I'd smash it into things anyway.
this is the price for that. Intervals of repair are more..
oh well.
knowing this is a real runner. I am excited. I also could repair power steering in minutes, I simply chopped a line in January of '15.
the heat would need the real titanium wrap this time..the last theories are shredded. that needed 1200F apparently to be where its at. Dangling, worthless.
lets watch this delicate subaru of love instead:
super gramps (turbo 6 subaru) meets a you tube celebrity.
casey neistat goes for a ride with mighty car mods.
my subaru is a twinkie. Aussies don't know what that is.
fixed exhaust as I had done at least ... I can't remember how many times.
wrap with metal, use hose clamps.
Seriously, this subaru chokes on autumn, sounds like it is going to explode.. I used to keep rpms way down.
ATF remains are very reactive this time of year.
I'll skip on the power steering, until all new.
I was just reading a post about air force anniversaries. I was disabled in the 50th year. Carburators, no cellphones and written log files. I am an antique one.

I'll just quote myself:
Seems it is starving, but there is something else. I wonder if headgaskets are even installed yet. Static related drama going on.Will keep driving easy. I know today was the loudest I have ever heard it. Fuel additives and drive easy..nothing more I can do.
it has been a bitch its whole life.
