I like your new project. I'm a big fan of the little truck with a big motor. I've built three 350 S-10 's. Your off to a good start.

Just about finished with my 50 dollar paint job. It still needs cut and buffed and a few more trim pieces painted, but I think it's going to come out pretty dang decent. I'm spraying the inside of the bed with liner and then covering it with a flush mount tonneau cover. I still need to change out the rear bumper as well. Also plan to get some clear turn signal lenses for the front, and will be smoking the rear lights.

For now I'm going to throw some 15" tear drop rims on it, later it'll get some bullitts or cobras, just whatever I find for a good price.

After I get the v8 swap done, I'm going to repaint the truck probably midnight blue, I just wanted to get it one color for now (hints the lack of any body work. lol)

I bolted on the new bumper. Ignore the wires dangling down, I was just repairing some of the previous owners shady wiring.

I'm going to start looking for some 06+ emblems and taillights. It's slowly getting there.

            Looking good!
The '97 Explorer is the perfect candidate, sharing your return fuel system and no PATS system.

            Good luck with the progress!

Yeah, hopefully it'll work out pretty good. The only think that poses a problem is the gt40p heads, they'll limit header choices.

I've seen your truck on some of the ranger forums, it's pretty sweet! I'm mobileaudio219 on all the ranger forums.

If you can't find an early 97, get a 96 then.. I didn't realize there were many options for headers in that tight mother of an engine compartment anyway.
