I actually worked on the truck Saturday! I finally got all my "have to" projects done (Durango rear main seal/oil pan gasket, F150 reseal leaking timing cover/valve covers/fix IMRC vanes) so I took a day just to play with Nanner. I finally welded the roll bar plates to the cab floor and seat belt brackets to the plates. I also welded in the portion of the inner fenders that we cut out. The fenders still need a strip added, but I can do that later. I really just wanted to get this part done so I can actually put stuff in the bed without it getting munched by the rear tires!

Playing with the idea of putting bucket seats in. These are Grand Am buckets I had in the Ranger. The main reason is that if I put door bars in, I'm not sure I can physically get the bench seat back in!

This truck has been a crazy journey. It's about to get better. Haha.

The Mustang has reached a performance level that if I want to go faster, it will need a full cage, and a bunch of other stuff. I really don't want to jack with all that and I'm starting to get bored with it. My kids are going to put the original 302 that came out of the Mustang back in it (along with a 5 speed and some N2O) and we will have a fun 12 sec car to play around with.

So, the plan so far is to swap the 552 from the Mustang into Nanner. I would love to keep the E4OD in it because I love the OD, but am not sure about that just yet. E4OD torque converters are EXPENSIVE and the stock one will not cut it. The C6 would work fine, but the truck has 4.33 gears in it and the OD is so nice to have.

The 552 makes about 650hp, so just playing with the numbers, it looks like it might end up being a low low 11 or even a high 10 second truck in good air. The best part is, the truck is much roomier for other goodies later on. Might even end up with a couple of GT45 turbos, who knows? The 552 has a Megasquirt that controls ignition timing only right now, but I will be able to piggyback that onto the EEC-IV harness and EFI the 552 at some point.

Picked up a 2001 Dodge seat on Craigslist for $40. Whoo hoo shoulder belts! This is the type seat I have always wanted to put in this truck.

I stuck one of the Dodge seats in yesterday. It is waaaaaay too tall with the factory seat brackets. Haha. I unbolted them and they fit much nicer. I think I might build a frame out of square tube to bolt them to.

When the bench in the flatbed rotted away, I added a couple buckets.. Nice comfy.. But no adjustability.. Since I'm the only one that drives it, that was fine.. Now these buckets ar getting ruff, I got another pair I'll use.. I think I'll make sure these will adjust..

Took the brackets off and stuffed them in there. I think these may work well. Might fab up some brackets for them this weekend.

Looks good, when I had my 98 Cummins the driver's seat bottom was trashed. I got the foam out of a passenger seat. I used the original cover don't remember why? There was a bigger gap between the seat and door and it was a little over stuffed at the center but it sat great. They are not the same but the are swap-able. Might help with fitting door bars

Started building a seat bracket on Saturday. So far it is working better than I anticipated except for the part where I burned the crap out of my calf with a piece of steel I just finished welding on. ow ow ow ow ow oooooowwwwwww.

                              Nothing pic worthy yet.
