275/60-18 might look good on the back.. I was gonna say 295 45 18 like my Lightning had, but they would probably look small and then I tried to find one. Holy carp, it's the TRX of truck tires now.. lol.

275/60-18 is the size we settled on for the rear, partially for size and partially for cost. It's a fairly tall tire so I hope it looks ok. The fronts will be 245/45-18.

I think the drop to 18" probably helped your tire prices out. Cool build, my boy is only 3 but I hope to do a build like this someday with him. I hope its still internal combustion in 13 years lol1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S 340 with a 360

This weekend was Brick-a-palooza at my house. We have (had) a huge brick patio that was in awful condition so we are replacing it with concrete. It was a little over 1000 sqft of brick that we removed by hand put in a wheelbarrow and then piled over in a corner. I plan to use it to make a driveway for the shop. It sucked as a patio, but will work fine for a driveway.
The only thing we did to the truck was connect up the steering. Probably took us 25 minutes. Super easy and the parts fit great.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

Well, at least a shop foundation. We just has a storm shelter installed and will be pouring the shop slab over it. I may not start construction just yet, but the slab will be ready.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

yay steering.
You all pretty much know how my mind works by now, so this shouldn't shock you too much.... I'm thinking hand some bricks out for trick or treat. Just kidding. Little bostiches around here would throw them through your window and steal the candy. lol.Flying south, with a flock of bird dogs.

Wheels arrived yesterday. 18x9 front, 18x10 rear. Inner fender is going to need to be modified, but we were kind of expecting that since we have a Bumpside 9" housing in a Dentside. I think it's going to look pretty good.

Progress has been nil lately because I have been up to my neck with stuff trying to get ready to have a storm shelter installed, a large concrete patio poured and the floor of my shop poured. This was compounded by the fact my wife thought it a good time to get the house painted..... Yowza. It's been a ridiculous madhouse trying to get everything done.
But, we are still inching along. The driveshaft arrived today. Whoo hoo!
I have also been doing some reading about Moate's QuarterHorse which is an add-on board that allows you to do custom tunes/change parameters and datalog with the EEC-IV. Not all EEC-IV ECM strategies are supported, so I has happy to find that ours is one of the one's that is compatible. This will be something we can fiddle with after we get it running, namely changing shift points, playing with timing, and disabling some of the emission related stuff.

We worked a little this weekend. Jake was fighting a nasty cold so we didn't do a whole lot, but every little bit is progress. We mock-mounted the gas pedal from the 1996 F250 and drilled the hole in the firewall for the throttle cable and connected it. We will need to drill 2 more holes to fully mount the pedal, but it looks like it is going to work very well.
Jake connected the heater hoses, and we were lucky enough that the Crown Vic's power steering lines bolted right up to the '96 F250 pump.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

Ha! Thanksgiving, while nice, was unfortunately in Austin. I hate Austin btw. We have not had a lot of time to work on it.
Need to buy a few parts:
fuel pump
brake rotors
conversion u-joint
possibly a power steering pump - I think this one may have been damaged when removing the engine.
tires
If the weather is semi-decent this weekend (does not look like it will be) I think we can make some good advances.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.
