Its too bad these 16x8 Wheel Vintiques are so pricey...
Free Shipping - Wheel Vintiques 82 Series Wheels with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Wheels at Summit Racing.
I always thought extra wide steelies with dog dish caps made for a cool "stockish" look.
Is there a cheap "leveling kit" for these trucks? I know its not 4wd...but a more level stance might look good!
Besides this is all temporary anyway right? This thing NEEDS the prerunner treatment!!!Last edited by andy30thz; December 18, 2013, 07:52 AM.

Switching gears now....
It's only a matter of time until my wife discovers this pickup only has lap belts and flips out. This truck does not have the mounts on the B pillar for the factory shoulder belts. Those were only available in later years.
So I may try to procure a 1998-2001 Dodge front seat with the integrated shoulder belts and see if I can retrofit it.

Hey, what's behind the tape residue?
Oh it's the "Low Fuel Economy" light! Must have been on all the time!

we had a phone system that had a light that glowed green when there were 1-5 calls holding, yellow at 6-25, and red beyond 25 calls holding. Seems like all of us taped them over, seeing red all day is disheartening. It would seem like on that deal, the plan would be to keep it lit! Put it in your Mustang, I bet it doesn't go out at idle or any other time.Flying south, with a flock of bird dogs.

I thought you used parts from the 950 to build the 1050? Looks good!
You going to pull it apart, or stick it on as is?Last edited by Russell; December 19, 2013, 07:01 AM.

The 1050 got the Quick Fuel metering blocks and the bowls from the 950.
I took it apart last night to verify jets, PV and to make sure it is clean inside. Secondary side had a little scale in the bowl, but it cleaned off fine.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

NICE! Are you going to have time to work on this....or are Christmas plans going to put it on the back burner?
Set of wheels and this carb should put you on the road, right?
Oh, a conversation with Scotty J on 460ford about a custom reground stock cam might not be a bad idea at some point...
I think he can give you a pretty good price ($150 IIRC) and tailor it to your combo, better than something off the shelf.
