I didn't figure on economy being a primary factor in this truck's purchase, lol. I think your mileage / tank estimates are pretty close based on what I know of the trucks is all I was saying. I did a mileage to cost scenario a few years ago and settled on 28 over 15 for the daily, but driving 35-50 miles a day drove that scenario. Different scenario, the PSD v. 351, 22 v. 15 - For a couple of months this summer I was driving over 150 a day, but figure in +30% diesel costs for the 50% better mileage and it's almost a wash when you have to change the oil.. (13 quarts v. 5). The good news is a good running 460 shouldn't complain about any reasonable load you put in or on it.

40!? Send some of that my way!! We're looking at 27 and wind all day again. Day 3 of being held semi-hostage. Supplies are running low. Down to last 30 pack. Hobby Lobby and Lowe's suck for not carrying brass tubing. I'm thinking about studding the golf cart tires if the ice doesn't melt today.

Oh, forgot something else. Did you get the CB that was in there or was that a Kraco 8-track mount?

oh hey, forgot something else. Have you ever heard of putting airsoft pellets in the tire for balancing?

      Air soft? That's weird.

      Thermostat replaced!

Then I finished removing the remains of the old camper. There were about a hundred mud dobber nests or more. I drug it out of the back of the pickup with the Durango and then drug it around to the alley where I disassembled it with my boot and a big hammer.

Just for kicks 200lb me jumped up and down in the bed and it barely moved. This thing may need a leaf or two removed!

This little connector for camper running/interior lights is the only way to positively ID a camper special. All the other camper special features could be had on a regular F250, except this little connector.

I looked all around but did not find a place that looked like it was leaking fuel. I will reconnect the fuel pump and put some gas in it and see if I can find the leak..... when it warms back up.

the tailgate looks like it is in awesome shape... it's looking like it always had the camper on/in it and maybe never got worked like a truck! Even my 2000 Lightning has dents on the inside of the tailgate from getting worked. Looks better all the time. I'd be envious if I didn't already have a bunch of trucks, except this one has old guy appeal.

Bed looks FLAWLESS for the age!!
I wonder what the weight of the camper was? No matter what the weight, I bet it was oversprung!

I did see these 8x6.5 15" slots.... But the price is more than twice what you paid for the truck!

This thing is gonna look SWEET pulling the foureye!
When are you gonna put water and sponge to it?!?!?! Do you think the interior is going to clean up?

I'm not really a big fan of slots.

I think it's supposed to warm up this week into the weekend. I hope to back it out into the street and have at it with the pressure washer. Locks and ignition should be here Wednesday so I can lock it up and actually start it easy from inside the truck. haha

Have heard of it and have done it. Works like a charm!

I really should not have looked at this truck. 2wd 460 powered F250, 4" Autofab front beams stock rear on 35's.

2wd... easy to resist. You have one. 4wd? Not so easy.

                            Most pre-runners are 2WD....DO IT!!!!!

What you need is a great deal on 35" then the lift is nessary to take advantage of the great tire price. It does look mean but for a truck I plan to use to haul / pull I dont lift so it easier to load. If its just a toy I say lets make a pre runner!

While I think it would be super effin cool, I don't know how practical it would be for towing, normal pickup use, etc.

Besides 35's are too big for me. I may end up with a 32 (265/75-16) on it, but that's big enough for this truck and the 3.54 gears.
