Get the lawn rangers to shovel the driveway in to the back of the truck. So when does the efi conversion start?

Snow was thankfully pretty short lived. There is an EFI 460 at the local yard. I may go grab the intake and maybe whatever else I might find that I could use. In spite of what some say, the later model efi intakes will work fine with the early heads. I might use the stock mechanical fuel pump to feed a surge tank and feed the engine with a stock Ford efi pump. I will probably just use a stock computer as well.

Why not grab the hole engine?

Or the whole truck? Cheaper by the pound it should be....

Not a whole engine really, but most of the important stuff is there.

This car has been in the "off-limits" section for years.

A '75 Camper Special (no engine or trans) just came up on CL for cheap. I might see about getting it, robbing all the parts I need for mine and then selling off the rest.

Well now that the mustang is staying elsewhere (unknown still) there ought to be room in the driveway for it

No, the guy only has email listed as the contact method. Sent emails from 2 different email accounts, but have not received a reply on either.

Story of my corvette search life.......everyone is afraid to list their phone number when selling, but also has their email set to automatically reject email sent from "unknown" accounts.

                      Good luck.

I might post a "Want to Buy" ad for the exact thing he is selling to get his attention.

                          That's an excellent idea.

Wifey did not object.... at least not loudly. lol

Went and looked at the truck. It is a 460 truck, but the guy wants the engine/trans/diff for a project car. No biggie, I just want stuff like the rear bumper/receiver hitch, hvac components (which all work btw), door handles, upper part of the steering column, glass, trim, light lenses, etc etc. I like that it is a 460 because all the peripheral stuff will be the same or very similar to mine. Body panels are pretty straight, but it is rusty and was spray bombed camo once upon a time. It is a Camper Special and has the big mirrors that mine used to have. The interior is tired, but it has all the stuff I need for mine I think. I just wish it had a good back window. It has the same factory slider window mine has and it is in about the same shape as mine.

I did not buy it yet because I have a buddy whose Dad has a 70's Ford too. He is going to take some pics of it later today and send them to me.
