Great project. Back in the days of grey market cars back in the late 70's there was an importer who was trying to figure out how to get a V12 certified to meet US emission standards. They reasoned a V12 is nothing more than 2 6 cylinder engines and used 2 BMW ECU's. It worked.

So shoehorning a v12 into a 3er is something that will probably not happen? So much for the 350i Wagon. This is gonna be sweet.

Oh, hey! Guess I kinda dropped out for a little bit, eh?

weeellll... when I started this thread, I was in Afghanistan on deployment with the Marines. It's been 5 years.
I retired in 2016 with 20 years of service and have been contracting for the govt ever since.
The car is STILL not built yet... however, I have changed plans a little, gotten a lot more pieces to the puzzle, and am committed to finishing this build. I'm even more pumped up than I was 5 years ago about this build and have never had the project far from my mind.
            Stay tuned!

Just be careful, it seems contractors get killed more than service guys and no one ever hears about it either.
