  • Weight really adds up. I've been watching weight on my 66 as well. When I put my 4speed in, I had a choice between 2 flywheels. 1 was a 11" and the other was a 10.5". The 11" was 40 pounds the 10.5 was 21 pounds. The stock starter was 22 pounds, a PMGR from a 5.0 is 11 pounds

    • Altitude has been adjusted. It has the right look now.

The engine is hooked up, wiring is repaired or simply modified to run a 10SI and 12v to the Pertronics ignition, and I changed a few things to make the starter crank better. Works so good on this one that all of them are getting the mods with batteries in the trunk. It starts, runs, makes a ton of noise, and the transmission works. Breaking in the cam with the Eddy I got from Scott, then when thats done and the gas tank is clean it's going on E85.

Video coming soon. Not enough light today for it.

      • And he will be replacing his driver with one who weighs a bit less at 140 lbs for even quicker times at the track.

                    • I think it looks bad like this, just how I wanted it to look. Get the front dropped, the hood, nose, grille, and wheelwells on it, then put the glass back in. Something about satin black with a lowered attitude says sinister.

                          • Paint flowed once again, looks legit despite being a bunch of hardware store crap. It's so easy to make it look rough, I kinda like this aspect of building.

yeah, really rough, but not obviously fiberglass... Especially in the dark.

The VA and I are having a tiff, so I can't finish the glass hood just yet, so I sanded and painted the steel one and it's only 30lbs heavier than the first glass hood I made.

                            • I put the 850 Demon on it, dumped 7 gallons of E85 in it, had to buy a different battery, dad gifted me a starter from Summit for helping get his Fury going good, so I filled the trans with type F and made a check to see if it would move on it's own. This little 400 rips. Also have the front bumper bolted on, need to get it secured better, but it stayed there while I cut donuts and did 200ft long wheel spinning drifts. Still can't post videos, but I'll take some pics later today.

                                And the bumper stuck on.
