I always loved those, never saw one until I went to the drive in show, it was in perfect weekend driver condition
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

My friend owns one with a 4 speed that looks like GM put it there.
10 grand is too much for that car. theres more than 200 out there.

Yeah the claim of 200 left seems to be totally baseless.

          Trivia:

Why was the production run so limited on those cars?

Hint: It was not lack of demand.

They did make a few 74 versions with an 455SD motor. I worked at a pretty expensive country club one summer and I saw one.

That would have been a GRAND AM not a CAN AM.
And they NEVER came with a sd455 from the factory. A 455 yes, but NOT a SD

Got pics of 2 of these this weekend at same car show. Also got pics of Jim Wangers with a "new" limited production GTO being made here in the Green Bay area.

there might have been some DEALER built. But NONE factory built. It was proposed, but they had issues with getting the engines emissions certified, so instead of offering the SD engine in an array of cars, the decided to limit it to the trans am line.
