4bbl motor, it's about as good as it got in those days. Still really designed to get better economy than performance. At least it's got decent heads as far as factory goes and is the most compact of the Turbo6's. Check out B4Black on www.turbobuick.com for info on how someone has built theirs to chase the intercooled cars.
