    there is one oddity. 72 was the toughest 350s known...

    a 3 on the tree? wasn't that limited to I-6 or 307?

    still, a body that only needs minimal. nice one.

    3 speed was the standard transmission. you could get a bigger engine with the standard transmission. Nothing odd about it, except that most people who ordered the bigger 8 also got a different transmission.

      these are as old as me, and then died before I reached driving age. 3 speed, was not even about the linakge, the opinion was how bad they were. needed a dog box reactive engine, almost jake brake like between the gears.
      I drove a ford v8 3 on the tree, and a 305...not friendly on an 8 cyl by any means.

      love that years of trucks..especially seeing "gmc".
