    Re: Classic 1975 Honda Civic - $5200

When i was 16 i met a guy who had one in his barn with an extra engine and tranny. It was in decent shape, baby blue all it needed was a bath. The problem was he wanted 600$ i thought it was crazy back then.

So you can imagine what i think about that price.

I dig'em, kinda like the Isetta BMW, but it would have to be a hell of a deal. I mean really who's lookin for those kind of cars. I wouldn't drive it very often, maybe put a big piece of glass on it make it a high table in the corner of the garage.

When I was in college around 1980 a friend from high school had a mid 70s little hondacar with a 4 cylinder engine and the 2 speed semi-automatic transmission (not the 600). A real barn burner.

Evil Tweetie is the 600 two cylinder, a bit older.

I had a '76 Civic Wagon. It was built by my uncle who was a Honda master tech back in the '70s and 80's. It had a Prelude engine bored .020, a lightened flywheel, ported head with big valves and a cam, a header, and dual carbs. He put an Accord 5 speed in it and heavier swaybars, springs, etc. He even found some fiberglass fenders and a hood.

It was all factory parts, and that thing would run. Pissed off a lot of '80s Camaro owners.
