36 Chevy Coupe Project 85 TPI 305 decision

it's smaller than the cam in the IROC's 305 and might actually be a problem with a legit 9.5:1 compression... should be a stump puller though. The Elgin / Melling / SpeedPro / Edelbrock and likely Erson cams all probably come from the same grinder. I've always been curious who was grinding them.

you can see they used a few different grinds. not much though.

I am becoming a fan of howards, got a message into them.

i'm not a fan of re-ground cams. they must be done right, harded or parkerized. re-grinding could throw the valvetrain geometry off/need longer pushrods. and hopefully the cam journals are ok? JMO.
