Yes, I'm copying this - though I did go to the expense of making it SAE, my theory is build just tables, minus computer and plasma but with the motors for under $2,000.
    So here are the plans

    http://www.instructables.com/id/CNC-Plasma-Table/

    and here are the parts.

    and unwrapped

they're cut out of 1/8 stainless so it won't rust with the water pan I'm going to add to this
the dark lines - those are bend lines that I have my laser guys burn into the metal.... lots easier to make perfect that way...
I'll also fix these links in the next day or so that it's uploaded to here and immune from photobucket.

This will be exclusive content for Bangshift.

    Re: CNC Plasma table

time to start figuring where to bend them

    marking

    then bending

    then laying it out....

unfortunately, there were a couple issues - this cannot be bent with my dies

anyway, I think I have a solution that doesn't mean more cutting.... Too Be Continued

Hmmm....you might need to redesign a few parts to work with your bending capabilities? maybe more bolted connections, between more parts, which each have only one bend in them.

          Re: CNC Plasma table

I think I'm going to either shorten or simply cut one tab off then tig it back on... but yes, there will be a version 2.0 when I make the next table

            Re: CNC Plasma table

This taking too long, but finally I have 99% of the parts to do the build. I wonder if anyone would be interested in a table that costs less then $1800 (minus computer and cutter) that is scaleable from 2x2 to 4x8 (or larger for that matter).... simply would require buying 2x2 square tube, some form of grating material, and 5/16 rod in the appropriate lengths.....

              cut more pieces on this

I also am honing in on what it should look like (which means buy more parts)... that said, I'm getting there....

Its too bad it looks like you need a plasma table to make the parts to build a plasma table

                            moving forward

make the holes big enough for the rollers

                            and it operates like this

now the Z this will take some mods

                            thinking....

I can already say I hate this design.... it seems needlessly complex

however, this is the general shape.
