  • Can you adjust the spring rate on a Corvette fiberglas spring?

My buddy installed front and rear suspension from a C4 Corvette in his 54 Chev truck and may need to adjust the spring rate on the fiberglas transverse springs down. Is there a way to do this by shaving or cutting or do you have to go to an spring Eaton Spring product? If anyone has accomplished this please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Peter

Thanks for the reply. I will look into the aftermarket stuff if you cannot adjust the stock spring. Has anyone ever tried shaving the edges to reduce the spring rate?

Like he said, also sometimes its better to have the proper spring load set on a custom spring (which may not be to bad $) and have a more stable ride than a harsh what if ride.
