      You can just use the reluctor with out the module to trip the HEI, I have used and went 10.50s with a MSD module tucked in the HEI unit before, also went 10.20s and over 8000 with the fake out one, with 1/2 shaft on Fleabay for 75.00 comes with module and coil cap the works

        If you see MSD on the box, your going in the right direction. Plus there tech line can help you with any questions you might have.

          I put an msd6 on my 351c4v in the early 90's... one day it quit - I bypassed it and got home, sent it into them, and they sent it back with an explanation of what went wrong, what parts were replaced, free of charge, and about 10 days later.

          I've gotten several other msd items since then and never had a problem.
          There's always something new to learn.
