Wouldn't the NVN depend on what State the engine is in?
What I mean by that is an oem type engine that has a smooth idle and manners ,
Will be different than a fire breathing powerhouse with a lope . when mounted in with the same mounts.
I have read that some with somewhat rowdy engines that drive them.
Put a poly on drivers side and a rubber on the passenger side.
Do folks still use limiting straps, or was that more a thing when you only had rubber units.?

Yes I agree the build will influence the behavior of the mounts.
It has been my experience that the quality of the available rubber mounts (mostly sourced out of India) is poor. I originally used 70 Torino mounts which are getting very hard to find and they don't seem to hold up very well in my application.
We used the energy suspension brand, probably the only one like these out there. I would just suggest whatever you use to go with them for all 3 mounts.
Kind of off the subject but does anybody make good stout motor mounts for a high HP SBC (in a "68 El Camino)? The mounts in it now are made so if the rubber and metal separate under high stress the metal parts interlock so the engine barely moves. I can't remember if these are original equipment. I bought some Energy Suspension Polyurethane mounts but they VERY flimsy compared the mounts I have, they're pretty though. I broke a motor mount in the '65 Chevelle I used to own and the motor lifted up so much it broke the 4 speed transmission mount, don'want that to happen again.
Now I understand the post. Yeah, I have seen those as well. Not sure I am ready to go that far but you are probably right that they wouldn't be that much worse. I have had some folks propose engine plating it but that is "too much" even for me!
run a solid metal mount on driver side and a poly mount on
passenger side.... thats the 'secret recipe' according to the wife.
shes usually right........
