Kind of off the subject but does anybody make good stout motor mounts for a high HP SBC (in a "68 El Camino)? The mounts in it now are made so if the rubber and metal separate under high stress the metal parts interlock so the engine barely moves. I can't remember if these are original equipment. I bought some Energy Suspension Polyurethane mounts but they VERY flimsy compared the mounts I have, they're pretty though. I broke a motor mount in the '65 Chevelle I used to own and the motor lifted up so much it broke the 4 speed transmission mount, don'want that to happen again.
What mounts, Some of the ones for the sbc, are to be put into your stock oem clam shell type mount.
