I think I'd pop it open and give it a look. Cleaning up the flywheel and pressure plate and tossing in a new disc will beat walking home and buying all three. Unless you enjoy hiking and have your eye on a double disc anyway.
At this point I'd try "a few miles of good driving" and see if it comes back and then option 2. What's going on, is it grabby or too much slip to lockup?
