        could be internal trans bushing wobble or the old egg shaped pin hole in the differential
        sucks to get old
        dig around on the interwebs , that is how I fix the used cars

            everytime I do a trans , it gets a new rear main , new flywheel and convertor bolts from the GENERAL MICHELLE

              It doesn't have the loose converter bolt sound. The rear mount is oil soaked, and I ought to replace it. It kind of feels like when the idle is set too high...but the idle is 500 rpm....

                      ATF and wheel bearing grease never did the trick. (for us anyway). And yes, it will do the same on 2wd. I have a 93 GMC shop truck to prove it.
                      Sorry forgot to get the Ford#.
                      Could be something else. What gear do you think it may be shifting to when this happens? 3rd, 2nd??? Or when it comes to a complete stop?

                      You have the two piece drive shaft? The sticking yoke issue is only on the one piece that I know of.

                        It happens just as it comes to a complete stop, never any other time. It's a two piece driveshaft.

                          are the spines for the 2nd drive shaft into the first dry?
