    Howdy,

does anyone know much about early Olds Toronados? I know they were developed using highly modified Rivieras, anyone know exactly how close the frames are between them? Have a very strange idea for an AWD Riviera using an early Toronodo front end and standard Riv back end.

I did an engine in my '75 Toro but I can't claim to know much about the car, really. They just started and ran and took me where I wanted to go, w or w/o horse trailer. Long story about why the engine fried but suffice it to say it wasn't the car's fault.

Hey CTX, I'm sure you are aware of it, but you know that Leno has an AWD Toro, right? Maybe some ideas there?

I thought Jay's was just RWD. Which makes no sense at all to me. But it IS a cool car, for sure.

Pretty sure the early Toro's are leaf spring rear. They're full frame but I think that's where the similarity ends.

          Leno's is RWD.

            Whoops!

            Sorry for the mis-info!

They did a whole episode of Rides on the build of it. It does some seriously wicked "Blackout Steve" style rolling burnouts.

there is a 67 toro next door , I will have to crawl under it
toros have torsion bar front ends - there is no pto on a th425
maybe throw a corvair engine in back

I'd get to that later, for some reason I think finding the sollution to getting the power to the wheels is a bit bigger than the transmission/transfercase problems. Just one of the projects that allow me to escape the budget drama and requests for reports at work these days.

toros are unibodys with a subframe and rear leaf springs
