  • Main cap bolt torque specs.

I pulled off the rear main cap in order to change the rear main seal. I was wondering what the torque specs to put it back on. Also, should I use some ARP thread sealer or something similar?

don't need thread sealer on the main cap bolts, I use engine oil as a lubricant, and make sure to put sealer between the cap and block, in the area between the seal and the pan gasket. also it seems to help if you misalign the seal, put the parting line of the seal about 1/8" off from the parting line of the cap and block.
