    We just got a 96 sb chevy and need to know if the a set of older heads would work on it?

        If you were gonna keep it stock id put the vortec heads back on they are a pretty decent head for a factory casting
        5.0L casting # 059
        5.7L casting # 906 or 062

          if you use older heads, you will have to use an older style intake also.
          The difference in the newer heads and intakes is that two of the bolts are at a different angle than the old style.
          (intake to head bolts)
          when in doubt,.. throttle out

            also vortec heads dont even have the center bolts and the 4 corners are straight up

              I thought that was it, but wanted to make sure, I got a line on some double hump 2.02's for it.

                double humps will bolt right up,

                You can get brand new vortec heads for @ 550.00 and make more power than double humps though.
                when in doubt,.. throttle out
