  • Headliner for a A/G-body wagon

    Howdy,

I'm guessing salvage yard only. I'm sure I can get a shop to recover a board if I can find one but the '82 Regal wagon I found is minus that too. Any ideas?

Automotive upholstery shops can also supply the

backing for the headliner material in most cases.

Even many of the hard-to-find "bows"

in earlier vehicles are now being repro'd.

In that year, doesn't it have material spray glued onto a fiber/foam board? I think the Malibu wagons should have the same one. Once you have it, it's dirt cheap to have an upholstrey shop redo it.

Right, its the getting of the foam board thats the problem. The current owner (I'm buying it, just getting the list of his abandoned project parts) discarded the board because he thought it was trashed. I don't know if he knew it wasn't repoed or not but I'll be missing it none the less. Can an upholstery shop make the board too?

http://www.stockinteriors.com/ has the chevelle and malibu headliners. They don't list one for the Regal, though. Might be worth checking them out or calling them.

Yes, good upholstery shops can supply their own

cut-to-fit backing material to use w/the headliner.
