For class purposes I am thinking of dropping 2 cyl from a 4 cyl engine.
Should I get the crank balanced with out the 2 missing rods/pistons or should I use
weights on the crank to substitute for the rods/pistons and run the weights once the engine is assembled?

    Re: Balance

counter balanced crank is never gonna balance...hell, it is not even balanced with all four jackhammers. :

maybe trick it with a flywheel and pretend.. it is all pretend anyway if it has counter balancers.

I guess they like to choke on theories and pretend it is a real balance.

    hope you get an A...

when the knowledge is that stupid, baffle em with bullshit. Hey, whaddya know, just like the automoitive market place.

How about oiling?? if you don't have the rod ends on the crank, it's going to lose a lot of oil pressure.

I suggest you find the thread on our 1cyl SBC idea and read up on it there. We already covered a whole lot of this topic.
