Why would you have to upgrade to a MS3 to run it?

I agree with Jeff on the possible clocking issue, but as far as what combo to put together, I would take the 400 block down and see what machine work will set you back including splayed main caps and the required align bore and align hone. If the cost is anywhere near a Dart SHP block, get the SHP."A cross thread is better than a lock washer." Earl Lanning...My Grandpa

I wasn't sure if I could get them in that bore from the start. I don't want to remachine a freshly machined block. This car really isn't worthy of such a block, but I'd hate to have that 400 block fail and destroy the rotating assy. I think I may set this one aside for a while and use the money to put another project back on the road.

how did I miss this post????
From my experience, ditch the TBI idea with boost. I'm thinking the problem is fuel distribution, and TBIs just can NOT do anywhere near as good as a carburetor in that application. Seen it waaaay too many times. Move over to port injection if you want to run any amount of boost, and keep those injectors low-mounted in the intake runners, pointing at the back of the intake valve if you have that option.www.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed!

I was actually using a carb and spraying through the boosters. It was pulsed though and chugged like fire hoses down low. Once and if I get the TBI in the other post sorted out, I'm going to start on a billet stack efi setup. One way or another, this project will be port injected the next go around.
Thanks,
Kevin
