  • well poo - I guess I got junk gm parts

I wrote down the lock and head numbers from the engine I was givin, the guy I got it from didnt know anything about it since he got it for free ...

    460776 block number which = 305ci 78-79 Pass,Malibu,Camaro,Nova,Monte Carlo

    and the heads

    casting 376450 - 262-305ci in 75-76 w/ 1.72/1.50 valves

so what should I do ? take it to the scrap yard when I go saturday ?

If it runs, someone will buy it. I sold my old, tired 305 out of my Blazer for $100.

They way they are paying for iron up here, he could get close to that at the right yard for scrap!

and the scrapyard doesn't call and say he'll be there and never show up...they don't chew you down on the price...etc

I'm trying to imagine the day when 305s are both scarce and desirable. I don't think I have that big of an imagination

there is a set of heads worthwhile..

but small chamber size is easy to get anyway.

It is not perfect, but nothing a little forced induction won't fix. How about a pair of chinese turbo's off of ebay to excite it a little?

yeah but if it was a 350 it would be even more

only good thing about a 305 is a 350 bolts right in place
