a friend of mine in cali has a chrysler 300M and has this sound coming from the front end, hes changed the passenger side driveshaft, WD40d the hell out of everythign else, and changed the diff oil. theres no vibration in the wheel, just the noise, theres no pulling accelerating or braking

Not a Facebooker either. If I could hear it I might guess a wheel bearing (I think it's an assembly on those). If you can find a dyno to put it on you can operate it under load and check it with a stethoscope. Dynos are good. And for more than determining HP.

Drive it again...steer it back and forth while driving down the road.
If the wheel bearings are bad, it will get louder(or change pitch)
                as it's loaded and unloaded.

No vibration, hmm cause it certainly sounds like a warped rotor or a flat spot on the tire. Seems pretty pronounced to be an air leak through the weather stripping or something. Any chance the belt is loose or a radiator fan is tagging something?
                    Escaped on a technicality.

It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

Delaminated front tire. Sounds exactly like the new michelins my buddy put on his Lexus. And he's not a gear banger, slow all around, so we can't blame rough driving. It started after about 250 miles. I also thought it was a wheel bearing. The tire had delaminated within the tread so it wasn't visible. It was found when the tires were swapped off one by one with a known good tire.

Its final drive speed, it sounds like it did not start till he was off the throttle. was he on the brake? or coasting?

What area of the car do you hear it coming from, the front, the rear, passenger side, drivers side, under the seats?? usually you can pinpoint the area where they noise is coming from......
