    9 Inch Housing

I need someone to narrow a 9 in housing and put on the 4 link brackets and shock mounts. Can I get any recommendations on where to get it done in So Cal? Reasonably? Thanks....

I had them build my 9 inch tac-lok and was very happy with their service. You can probably get it done cheaper but Currie will do it right. Plus, they might have exactly what you need already sitting on a shelf.

Just groovin' to my own tune.

Currie does great work for sure, but a little too pricey for my budget. I've got a line on a couple of smaller local shops I'm going to check out this week.

Have you decided to move the pinion to the centerline of
the car or keep it in the stock location... thats gonna be
one of the first questions... when I built up my 9" I moved
it to centerline in my chassis

Most good differential shops can do it.

I have had projects in my shop with the currie rears in them and i would consider currie to be bottom feeders in the industry. There are tons of qualified shops in CA to narrow the rear, go to the nearest drag strip and walk the the staging lanes and ask around. They'll point you in the right direction...the name 'currie' will not come up.

Yes, the pinion will be at the centerline.

I'm taking it to a shop over in La Habra on Saturday to have the work done. Recommended by a friend that has had work done there. I spoke to the owner and it sounds like just what I'm looking for. They can also do the axles for me.

If they do the axles, ask them if they cut the new splines or roll them.

                        Cut splines are weaker.

Cool thanks - I'd forgotten they'd moved there. A friend had his Dart rear end narrowed by them a while back and was happy with the service.
