  • '58-64 Chevy Steering column interchange

Will a '62 full size Chevy steering column fit a '60 full size Chevy without much modification?

They are different columns, I don't know what all the differences are besides a completely different turn signal switch. I think i have one of each at home....i'm in st louis right now, maybe Monday I could look at them

looks like the 61 column is an inch or two shorter, and the shrouds where it meets up to the dash are all different. As well as the different turn signal stuff issue (the 61 has the switch remote mounted and cable operated)

Thanks Jim, I guess I'm probably better off rebuilding the column that's in it.

I think 58 is when they quit being one piece on Chevy cars. Chevy trucks were one piece thru 59
