Pulled all live support. Made a deal on a 2001 4x4 S15 series Jimmy. Supposed to do the deal Monday. Hopefully nothing falls thru. Looks like the wife will take it, we'll lone the bravada to the youngest daughter. When she buys a car, I'll make it my winter driver.

Have you considered putting a GM vortec 4200 inline 6 out of a trailblazer in it? They are 275 or 290 HP stock...

Besides the chassis.........nothing worth saving. I hate to say it. If someone had hit it it would have knocked the cab off. Then set the tank under the seat from sparks from the cab skipping down the road. 2001 Jimmy bought. I also couldn't get all the drum brakes to work at the same time.Seatbelts, two air bags and four disc brakes. I'm going to rest a lot easier.

ABS is one of those things I rarely think about until I get into the drivers seat of an old truck when it's raining. You should sleep better... us goofing with old tired stuff is one thing, the kid in day to day traffic that seems to get worse every day is another. Sadly, it was probably the exact right choice.

Dan, if you get the Jones for an older truck let Russell and/or me find you something down here. There's usually something fairly rust-free with a million miles on it. It'll need suspension and interior work but a decent engine should get you a usable truck. We see 'em all the time here - and not TOO far to haul it back to Indiana. I can meet you half way depending on the timing.
