Why didnt you get a title Dave? ;D My RoadRunner didnt have a title since it was purchased from the state of New York and they didnt start titling til 73 just had registration.What did ya buy?Ford,GM,Mopar or foreign?Just drive it with out a tag,insurance etc and tell the authorities you are an illegal. ;D

A friend got some titles from Broadway a few years ago, seemed to go pretty smooth.

Make sure you understand all their requirements first.

not exactly how it is in virginia, but here in mi its pretty simple, a matter of apolice inspection to run the vin to make sure its not stolen, and a form at the secretary of state (dmv) for a lost title. a few weeks later you have a title in the mail. i have had to do it a couple times buying cars out of state without titles.

I have a friend in MI that takes care of any of my title needs for just that reason. MI makes it simple & painless to replace a lost title.
