So what kind of fluid is everyone running in their automatics?

I've been told the B&M stuff is good and I was also told to use Mobil 1 20w oil.

    What do you think?

I was running John Deere light weight trens/hydraulic fluid and am switching to B&M Type F Trick Shift to get slightly less viscosity. Much voodoo here.

Napa brand dex/mer, My understanding is that it is actually made by valvoline although i'm not sure on that. The hotrods get the pan dropped every winter and the truck every other year.

Valvoline High Mileage stuff, then again all I have and will be doing is keeping original stuff going so I have no idea on the good stuff.

Well the T-A is running NAPA Dextron XXVC or what ever number they are on, (I think it is #4) even though its a stick. Its what the manual calls for. ( seriously ) All our other cars have GM autos and run the same stuff so it works out well . I also hear that Valvoline makes their stuff and seriously, With 200,000 on all the 3 of the GM cars I'm thinking I've got my money out of them anyway.

That's Autozone's line too, don't know if it's true or not, but I heard when I worked there and as recently as two weeks ago that valvoline supplies the Autozone brand oil and trans fluid. Wonder if it's an urban myth or truth.

Is that RP synthetic? Did you see any improvement over dyno oil or have you run synthetic all along?

A little more specific on this application.

                            C4 manual 600+hp 3500lb car.

I don't know if that will make a difference to anyone.

I ask because when you shift to third the car revs then bangs into gear. the builder told us to use Mobil 1 20wt engine oil.

                            Thanks for the replies.

I put it in to help with a trany that's needing a rebuild in the near future. It did seem to firm up the shifts, and the trans works a little better, but it still has issues.
