Re: steel wheels or lightweight alum... any benefit for me
The Centerline Auto Drags 15 x 10 with the 4-7/8" backspacing are THE ticket for B-body Mopars and 69-70 Mustangs. I had them on my 1969 Road Runner with BFG 295/50R15's with no issues. I also used them with 28 x 9 M/T slicks, P275/60R15 BFG T/A's and some other tires with zero problems.
If you want to use Weld Racing wheel, consider one of the Drag Lites or Pro Stars in the 15 x 10 size with 5-1/2" back spacing and a 1/2" wheel spacer. A word of caution, though.... Be sure to use long lug studs and the full length (1.375") lug nuts with these spacers for insurance.
